The playpen is your puppy's safe space! It is a place for your puppy to be confined when you are not able to supervise. The playpen is meant to give you a few hours to do what you need to get accomplished without distractions!

There are several benefits to slow feeders. Here are the main benefits:

1. Reduces gulping

   • Dogs that inhale their food are more likely to choke, gag, or regurgitate. A slow feeder encourages smaller bites and slower eating.

2. Improves digestion

   • Eating more slowly can reduce swallowing excessive air, which may help decrease gas, bloating, and stomach discomfort in some dogs.

3. Provides mental stimulation

   • Figuring out how to get the food out of the bowl turns mealtime into a simple enrichment activity, helping keep dogs mentally engaged.

4. Makes meals last longer

   • Instead of finishing a meal in 30 seconds, many dogs take 5–15 minutes, making mealtime more satisfying.

5. May help with weight management

   • Slower eating can help some dogs feel more satisfied after a meal, making it easier to stick to appropriate portions. It doesn't replace portion control but can support a weight-loss plan.

6. Can reduce boredom

The lambchop is an all time favorite! As with every toy offered to your puppy, supervise! supervise! supervise! We recommend not leaving toys unattended with puppies for long periods of time, especially with dacshunds!
